Why Young Adults?
I began my own journey with counseling as an undergraduate college student. I remember the whirlwind of life transitions that challenged me. From leaving home to figuring out a career path and navigating new relationships, things can get overwhelming quickly. It is my passion to help young adults navigate the many life changes that take place during this important time of emerging adulthood. I believe counseling offers individuals a safe space to work through these challenges. I will accompany you as you explore your internal world and begin a journey of personal health and healing. My goal is to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive atmosphere that will help empower you to make the changes you want to see in your life.
My Approach
My approach to counseling is primarily person-centered, and you are that person. I believe that you are the expert of your life and my role is to support you and help you to develop a stronger sense of self and greater ability to instigate the changes you want to see in your life. Because each client is unique, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches such as family systems theory, Jungian-informed psychotherapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I also enjoy incorporating creativity and mindfulness-based strategies when appropriate. I work to create a culturally sensitive and non-judgmental atmosphere so that my clients are safe to share what they feel is necessary to reach their personal goals. I have a special interest in personal growth work, interpersonal relationships, and multicultural issues. I’d be honored to accompany you on your journey of self-discovery and healing.

Lifespan Integration
I am trained to provide Lifespan Integration (LI) therapy for my clients to help resolve trauma, repair attachment, and promote a stronger sense of self. LI is a gentle mind-body based therapy that helps individuals to process trauma without risk of re-traumatization. LI sessions are highly structured and require some preparation. My clients create a timeline of their life that functions as a map to guide, ground, and integrate memories in order to strengthen my client's ability to live effectively in the now instead of getting hung up on difficult past experiences. LI is grounded in neuroscience research and works to establish lasting changes in the brain. It is important to prioritize self-care days before and after LI sessions in order to allow the mind time to rest and integrate effectively. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about LI and I would be happy to talk with you more about this unique form of therapy.
